Love & Malice

Sex, love and romance in the 1960s

Produced by Blue Trumpet for Radio 2RRR, Love & Malice explores 1960s attitudes to sex, love, and romance through the music of the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, and Bob Dylan.

Episode 10: We all need someone we can lean on

Well, we’ve come to the end of the 60s and to the end of the conversation. Brian Jones has left the Rolling Stones and sadly, leaves the planet by mid 1969. By that time, Keith and Anita were already an item. A month after Brian died, they celebrated the birth of their first child, Marlon Leon Sundeep. You’ve come this far, why not listen to the final conversation yourself. Suffice it to say that the Beatles and the Stones both produced the greatest anthems of their careers. You be the judge of their messages to this and possibly other worlds.
